Reiki translates to “universal life force energy” and involves me either placing my hands on or hovering them just over your body to facilitate the flow of energy and balance within your biofield at a vibrational level.

 

The interesting thing about Reiki is that science is finally catching up to what our ancestors always knew – everything is energy and we have the power to effect it. There are over 140 research papers published regarding the effectiveness of reiki healing. This is very exciting as it means we are one step closer to having reiki recognized as an allied health modality and gaining the respect of the medical community.

 

Multiple trials showed that reiki was effective and beneficial for many things including:

Reducing pain across various conditions e.g. fibromyalgia, cancer, tension headaches

Lowering stress and anxiety, calming the nervous system

Relaxation and improved wellbeing

Better sleep, reducing fatigue and burnout

Improving mood and energy levels, especially reducing depression

Boosts the immune system, lowers blood pressure

As Reiki is an energy based healing modality it is important that you are open to receiving as this will enhance the outcome of treatments. Skepticism may reduce its effectiveness due to your inherit ability to block unwanted energy from your field, some will still get through, it will just be less than optimal.

 

This treatment requires after care so please leave yourself at least 15 mins after the treatment to visit my complimentary tea and coffee bench with cookies, fruit and treats for the body before returning to the world. Remember to be kind to yourself for the following days and listen to your intuition as to what your mind, body and soul need for integration of your new energy field.
